Awesome!! Thanks for the heads up on this. I for one don't wanna do any jailbreaking on my iPhone, so this is a great alternative. I wish one day the iPhone will be open to cool apps like the akaremore/i3L combo J. look for ITM at Silicon Studios at iTunes App store. There is a free Midi lab tester ...

Wanted to give a report on this. The combination of this case: http://www.wiebetech.com/products/ComboGB.php And this drive: http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=8231&Item=HIT0A25015 Has been fantastic!! :D I basicaly have the drive Velcroed to my keyboard stand, and it has been a champ. Us...

Nevermind. A quick read of page 42 of the manual answered my question.

Hi, I'm switching to a smaller, more portable drive. All my media is currently on an external Firewire 800 drive. Now, what is the best way to move the media over to the new drive? Will Modul8 automatically map the clips to the new drive, or do I have to manually drop them in again from the new driv...

Thanks Yves. That would be awesome.

This is something we want to do for quiet some time. Unfortunately it is still not integrated in the 2.5. Hopefully for the 3.0.

Hi, I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this feature in 2.0, and was curious if it will be a 2.5 feature. Can you currently or in the future, be able to "collect" the media for a set, and save it as a self-contained set? For instance, the other day, I wanted to back-up my sets, and I realized that the med...

Nice. Does come with a case or something? I didn't see any info on any case accessories. J. I have the older wiebetech that only has firewire 400. On the plus side it's 7200 rpm/fast enough for video, it's also bus powered which is very convenient at a gig, and if looks are important to you it's bru...

I also found this, which also supports FW800: http://www.wiebetech.com/products/ComboGB.php J. hey that looks pretty neat! the bad thing about slim portable disks is that they typically are only 5400 RPM - which means you are not getting more performance (sometimes less) only more space. But these a...

Been trying to slim down my live setup. I've been using an other world computing FW 800 drive, but seeing its not very small and "portable", I'm trying to come up with alternatives. I found this the other day: http://ezq.com/product_info.php?products_id=28 Would this be sufficient for video? I need ...

Wow!! Nice. Thank you.

Hi,

I need a controller that is basically the microKontrol, without the keyboard. I love the Micro's pads and slider and knobs. Is such a thing available? Thanks in advance for any info.

Great video! :D Appreciate the response. The way I'm using Live right now is playing back "stems" during our live shows. I wasn't plannng on using Live to perform music live (I would if I could grow another pair of hands). However, I would love to be able to use some sort of midi track that just sen...

Hi, In the past I used to just have modul8 on one laptop connected to a Microkontrol. I'd like to be able to add a secondary laptop running Live (for our sequences) and also send information from Live to Modul8 and my synth (see diagram at this link): http://www.synfony.com/temp/a2f_setup.jpg What s...

Happy with my microKontrol. Perfect lil controller and does the job nicely.

Anyone with experience using a Korg Kontrol or microKontrol?

16 pads for triggering media, 8 sliders, and more!

I think it may be time to move up past the trusty Oxygen 8.

Cheers,
Marco

Hi, The best way to get started is first read the manual and get familiar with the interface and how the program operates (obvious first step). Then the rest is up to you. Start experimenting wtih different video clips and see what you can come up wtih. M8 is a performance tool, so you need to dig i...
