MadMapper has had this function for over a year.

Well the OP was over 2 years ago. I have a different laptop with 2 SDD's in it. I would still love the opinion of an experienced user for the original question which was never answered. If you have 2 drives internal one for system and one for media and one is 5400 and the other 7200 what is the best...

I own Touch and Lemer but this looks promising. I like the two page idea and for the price of free I am downloading as I type.

That said, if I were to choose a system right now it would be 10.6.8. I know a lot of people working in live video who are holding on to this version in the systems that they use for shows. I am still on 10.6.8 on every Mac I own that will support it for that very reason. None of the things Lion or...

"Modul8 - Recovering from the after party. Will post as soon as the nice photos have been gathered."

This may just be Mapping festival info but my guess is still Absinthe.

My guess is severe Absinthe hangovers.

If any of you are like me and have been checking Twitter, Facebook, Modul8.us and this site every 5 minutes since 2PM EST Friday, what I posted above is pure fabrication. I was hoping to spur actual facts from the keepers of the knowledge.

Other then the Syphon input I heard the new Modul8 will have 20 layers and 256 spots in the media bank. It will implement the latest Python and offer OSC like never before seen. To top it all off if you buy the Thunderbolt or USB attachment it will give you a handy under the table.

2 hours until go time!

WOW! Just plain WOW! This needs to be ported into OSX and made as an option in the filters in Modul8! http://www.creativeapplications.net/windows/hartverdrahtet-infinite-complexity-in-4096-bytes/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+creativeapplicationsnet+%28CreativeApplicatio...

Keep in mind not all apps can display via the Composite output from the iPad.

I was the one saying it's more fun but maybe it's just fun for me as I know what's coming up

This was the first time ever on this forum I wanted a like button.

I guess a smiley will have to do.

I can't truthfully answer the RAM vs SSD question but my setup is just like lotech's and I love it. I still use RAM up to my limit then my HDD after that. I am waiting out the SSD prices for the optical bay and weighing my thunderbolt options. I have done several shows with 10 layers of 720p content...

I have been working on a new show rig and I had the idea to run my powerbook g4 and 3 cameras through my V-4 out to a DV convertor and into my MacBook Pro as a layer in Modul8. This could then be shrunk down and be mapped. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/s720x720/523887_10151425987465...
