Thank you, I looked through the menus, and found the "Release Notes" in the Help menu.

never noticed it before, very useful.

After looking at the downloads today I saw that 6.1.5 was available (either I missed 6.1.4, or the versioning jumped to 6.1.5) I've checked several places including the forums, and I don't see any details about what was fixed and/or changed in anything newer than 6.1.3. The downloadable release note...

Sorry for the delay in responding - we were able to test with 6.1.3 and verify that this works for how we want to adjust the track volume out to other channels (in our case, it's for a Descriptive Audio track that outputs on a USB Scarlett channels 3 & 4 to an audio jack that has 2 buttons for adjus...

Maybe that will work, I'll test it once it's released.
(Sorry have been busy with an installation that uses 2 of our MadMapper licenses, so hadn't checked the forums in a few weeks)

Timelines have proven to be very useful - for one particular application I'm looking at, it would be handy to be able to adjust one or more Timeline Audio Tracks in realtime with OSC, but there doesn't appear to be a way to do this currently. (in my case it would be outputting Descriptive Audio for ...

As a temporary workaround, I have found a tool "Subtitle Edit" (free open source) that allows you to load a .srt (and video file) and generate an alpha channel video of just the subtitles/captions that can then be layered in the Tlimeline. (in addition to many other features) Having direct support f...

Would be very handy for Accessibility reasons to support subtitle files for videos (our museum creates them for videos we produce). Instead of having to have the video editors include it with the video (faster to do fixes with a quick srt file replacement instead of having to re-export the full vide...

Found an extremely useful utility for MacOS - "displayplacer" for MadMapper installations with several output devices, especially if they sometimes end up out of order, or the OS forgets rotation. (MadMapper usually handles this well if you've assigned the outputs, but I've had cases where it gets c...

It doesn't work when the movie is played with AVFoundation Player, disable the "Use Hardware Acceleration is Possible" on your movie so it switches to FFMPEG player and then MadMapper takes control of the audio output. Please confirm this solves. Thank you, this did work. As soon as hardware accele...

While testing some other things also running macOS 15.3 (now 15.3.1) - it looks like MadMapper 5.5.x and 5.4.x at least won't startup any more, I'm seeing the same bouncing you are describing, app not responding, left one of them to keep trying to startup for over 30 minutes, no change. In my case, ...

I've tested this on multiple different installs, all Apple Silicon though (either M4 Mac mini, or M1 Max Mac Studio) in every case, changing the Audio Master has no impact on the actual output volume no matter what output source is set in either MadMapper or OS level. Changing the volume on the medi...

Does the computer have an internet connection?

Other possible things could be connected devices causing a problem - try disconnecting anything plugged - USB devices, input, output down to as simple as possible.

Just occurred to me I left out platform details. There is a chance the bug is specific to it.

MacOS (15.2.1 or 15.3) on Apple Silicon (Mac Studio with M1 Max and M4 Mac mini)

I'll double-check our x86 Macs as well (running an earlier version of MM 5)

MadMapper 5.6.6 being used - OSC controls being configured for <Media>/position/ /position_sec/ and /position_frame/ all seem to have the same issue if you try to send an OSC command with an integer of zero. After starting a video loop (at least mp4, I haven't tested other video formats) with or wit...

Fixtures have their own media/visual parameter like surfaces do, and this can he changed by a cue (also like for surfaces). Are you sure your cues aren’t trying to apply the old video selection to your fixtures? I’d check the cue inspector to see what the cues are actually doing with your fixtures....
