Hi, This one. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB198Z/A?fnode=home/shop_mac/mac_accessories/displays&mco=MTA4MzA0 Works with the Apple Video Adapter for S-Video or Composite video output.(4 outputs max or 8 vga) But it's a really noisy card. Fan speed is anoying (|BTW I am talking about the mac...
Okay. I will test it. What the max quicktime size is on a mac pro 08 with raid o vs codec. Off course if you know how a computer works 720P x7 is impossible imho.
btw the audience won't see a difference between sd vs hd on such a multiscreen project anyway.

Yep, noisy 2k fan speed on the HD/Expansion 1k on the Exhaust but no crashes and modul8 is working fine. (didn't test it during a gig) But the apple problem with "white screen" after a hard reboot after and the screen artifacts problems are solved now, at least I think so /hope so.. btw lo...
Hi, networks sync will make the 8 quicktimes loops out of sync 'after 5/10 seconds.
You could make one big quicktime file and play it over 8 cards (dvi/vga) on a mac pro.
Good luck

After a 7 hours multiscreen gig, no problems with mac pro 08 on the final outputs only the preview window is doing strange things, that has to be solved but still it is possible to do a gig safely imho It is fast as hell cheers RR (mac pro 2.8 16 gig ram modul8 2.5.5 quicktime 7.4.1 h264 1080 p clip...
Modul8> preferences> all the pre ram loading of the clips brought back to zero. So no ram loading at all. playing all clips straight from disk. mixing 2080x600 h264 or 1920x1080 h264 quicktimes. (quite strange, got 16 gig of ram, but my clips are maybe to big. around 4-6 gig. must be a quicktime pro...
modul8 and quicktime crashes on loading a lot of h264 files. Not on my mac book pro. Quite strange............... Anyway, loading not the whole libary is a work around. Hope there will be no other strange things will happening during the gig.. (white screen of death... report If you have it please.....
Just keep it with h264. Forget jpg and you will be fine.
(and test test test test
And use 2.5.5.
(Got the feeling that h264 makes the clips really small and it easier for modul8 to handle, it ' s all about datarate now. So it's good to keep it as low as possible or am I wrong?)
photojpg is working again in quicktime 7.4.1
Both modul8 2.5.4 and 2.5.5
Still some performance drops in the preview panel, but not in the output.
cheers RR
Hey Dode. The only solution to get rid of the white frame is to re-enncode everything to h264. Installing tiger& 7.1.3 on the new mac pro disables quartz btw. (It's also not possible normally on a new mac pro to install tiger) I am not sure to download the new update of quicktime released today....
So if I install tiger on a seperate harddisk, I will be lucky with M8 V2.5.5 Beta Mac OS 10.4.9 QT 7.1/7.2/7.3? with the ATi HD 2600 in theory? By the way, modul8 only use one of the 8 cores. makes it sense to use h264 because there is enough processor overhead power for h264 to decode so I can keep...
