    Spanish Forum

    by nestor » Wed Sep 16, 2009 11:29 pm

The administration of the forum in Spanish is practically zero.

Only some members keep it running. was promised a Spanish translation of manuals over a year ago. And since that time almost no news on the part of the administration.

I believe that as users are entitled to a decent forum administration. thanks

I guess it's about time to learn some ENGLISH. How about to make a forum for every country and every language... ? English it is an international language,so as much as I want to have everything in my native language (witch is not Spanish) ...I know it is not possible....so I stick to English.... If I had to choose in between my native language and English ...I will still go with English, sounds much better and sometimes straight to the point. :D :D :D :D

    tut,tut
Spanish is rather widely spoken language, maybe not as much as chinese, but still. And personally I like the sound of spanish way better than english. Although I do not speak it at all.
But in general I am worried that in other language forums some vital information is discussed and I am left out. Thus I feel that Support, Modules, Tips and Trix, General must be in english only. I have been using google translation sometimes, but since english is not my native language I have even harder time to understand what is said from Google butchery.

The general Idea is that at one point it is not fair towards other people that they don't speak Spanish or don't speak English but they still do an effort and try to learn and understand English. Why is so hard for Spanish to just adjust to English, like everybody else is doing.... regardless of the fact that Spanish sounds better for you ,and English sounds better for me....English is still the nr. 1 language ,used way much more in international circles... then Spanish. Now the question is ,why Spanish ...? Let's do German,French,Italian,Romanian,Rusian and so on....if you want to be fair in front of everybody.I know it is not possible to have the forum in to many languages and I stick to English.I am sick and tired that just because somebody it is lazy now we got to have another forum in other language then English.I am saying that because it is not fair for other people that they don't speak English but they do that effort and get with the program.I am not happy ,I want a forum in my native language but I know that it is not possible so I got with the program and learned some english. Why Spanish it's more important then other languages ?

I can hear you romanian accent while reading you

anyway, the fact is: we have a spanish forum because a devoted user was kind enough to take care of it and the spanish community is quite big actually.

Now… to answer about the spanish documentation… we are very late with this. We're finalizing a printed english version right now wich is completely rewrote. As soon as the english version is done, we can continue the translation work, but I cannot give you any date… this process takes always more time than we expect…

As bucharest say, english is number one language for us too as a very high percentage of our users understands english, but it's not a reason to let down the others and we do want to provide some translations of the documentation.
