QCRehab possibly causing this to work. It also messes with Safe mode.

Yup, success via QCRehab, Download:

And install it in /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches/ (Not Plug-Ins) and you should be ok. Note that patch is no longer supported.

yeah.. i was just about to write the same.. after a quick removing of qc rehab syphon stopped working in modul8..

anyway.. i never experienced any troubles having qc rehab and kineme core 0.5.1 together installed..

Firstly thanks for that solution. I was very excited to see that there was a solution (on the 2nnd page)...

HOWEVER, this is for Syphon to Modul8. I wanted to go from Modul8 to Syphon (then to VDMX) for the Mapmapmap feature.

Any ideas how this could happen? Or perhaps is there a better mapper than QuadWarp in VDMX?

I think that it is not possible. In this case, modul8 only works in client mode. That Somebody correct me.
With VDMX if you can work as client / server.

But as I wrote initially I think something is in the works. So that Modul8 will also be able to be a frame server ie. send Modul8s output to another application using Syphon.

I am just having really fun with Syphon and Modul8 at the moment. The other day I fed my Kinect depthmap into M8 and today I got a twitter RSS feed in to M8.

A question though, more QC Rehab related really, is it possible to get the QC network connection to work in Modul8? It would be so much more convenient to have the RSS-qtz run inside Modul8 than feeding it to M8 through Syphon.

Hmmm.... just thinking of some cool typography experiments I should try. It could make up for Modul8's lack of typographic features....

That's awesome David! Can you tell us if this version supports both incoming and outgoing frames over Syphon? I heard that the beta (or "special version") of Modul8 that you've been using with The Mad Mapper only has support for frames going out from Modul8.

Does this also mean that the release of The Mad Mapper is close?
