    by videofile » Fri Apr 14, 2006 12:37 pm

ok, well i just got some RAM and in my activity monitor i show that my real memory is only running around 440MB, which was the same that it was before when i had 512MB. Now i have 2G, yahoo, but shouldn't M8 be useing more of my real memory? (I have a G4 with a 1.6GHz processor)

I would guess you'd need to set your media to fully decompress into RAM for it to take full advantage of the 2GB.

I think you have to adjust the amount of RAM that Modul uses in the 'Medias' preferences tab. Both 'when opening a new project maximum preload memory size' and 'when imported a media is stored in memory its size is less than'.
