Toggle layer visability on/off with midi ?

Hi all,

Fairly new to Modul8. I'm using a M-audio trigger finger to control M8. I'd like to know if there is a way I can assign a trigger to toggle on/off a layers visibility. Currently I can only have the layer visible when I hold the key then it'll switch off when I release.

Any ideas ?

Cheers,

Greetings,

Sounds like the button is set to Momentary instead of Toggle. You'd change that setting on your Triggerfinger (don't own one so I can't tell you how). Good luck!

Cheers,
Justin

I have the same problem but I can turn a layer ON but I can´t turn it OFF with the same pad, what am I doing wrong. I´ve tried to read the manual several times but I don´t think M-Audio really cover what can be done with the TF.

Have been using the TF for quite a while. Love it.

Attempts to configure the hardware to do this did not yield any positive results. In anyone has experienced otherwise would be happy to know about it.

The solution we have is to create a module with toggle buttons specifying the functionality you want and then binding the pad to the button of the module.

As for not being able to turn the layer off you might want to try and restore the settings of default settings using M-Audio's software that is available for OS X.It's called 'Enigma' and you can download it from the link below.

Good luck :)

Not sure about how the MiddleFinger (lol) work, but as far as yuo can set MIDI CC BUTTON commands to a pad, you can set it to toggle or not. Otherwise, there is no toggle/momentary mode for MIDI Note commands.
