I think this has been done before but I just discovered it for a piece so I thouhgt I'd shout about it. I've been able to send five video feeds from five different dv devices contected to five different computers over a wireless network. Myself and a colleage created a Jitter patch that detects how much movement there is in a video feed and creates a midi signal from that. Part of the patch records the feed as a quicktime broadcast file [.sdp]. We then opened the file in quicktime and saved it as a self contained movie with a .mov extension. We then sent the file to the central computer running modul8 and opened it up. We then sent files from each of the computers and hey presto five mixable feeds.
We used a closed netwrok but in theory [bandwidth allowing] this could be done over internet giving the possbility of pulling live video from anywhere in the world.
Sorry again if this has already been covered but I'm a bit crap at searching this forum.
