    Layer problem

    by nickyhkg » Sun Feb 18, 2007 5:22 pm

When I was using v2.03 it use to add a new layer on top of an existing one. However starting from v2.5 new layers will be added under existing layers I found this pretty annoying! And it would be nice to de-active the new layer when you add them. Does anyone here have the same kind of feeling?

    I agree!
Perhaps instead of just deactivated, the layer would be active, but fade at 0% for a new layer might be a nice option...

    Speaking of layer problems...

Recently I've been having a bug where I use the copy layer button and it doesn't copy, but instead just decides to forget the media I had in the original layer!!
    This is quite annoying.
I don't know of a specific pattern when this happens, but I noticed it more when I have 8 or more layers onscreen and things are generally sluggish.

Yea I think it would be nice to have the layer active, but fade at 0% for a new layer.
The problem you have didn't happen with me coz I seldom use that many layers.
