Suggestion for a future version

It would be nice to have a single layer that when turned on would be the frontmost layer for both group a & b. This would be useful for having mask images that are constant in each group.

Do you mean like a Master/Output layer??
IMHO it would be nice to have a layer that is the output, so you can effect/mask/colorize the whole mix of layers.
Another great feature would be to copy the Output Fade of the Edirol V4, it's great to make fades, but also to control the whole brightness...

That would be awesome, as would be a mask layer. What I meant though was much simpler. Merely a layer that would sit on top of both group a and group b. This would allow me to create a black mask for example with holes in it that would show the layers underneath.

guys, there's a module to select a layer as a mask or foreground layer menu: Modules>Show>Mask (global)
