    Doubt about Multi Projection

    by anselmodigital » Thu May 03, 2007 11:17 pm

    Hello,

My name is Carlos Anselmo and I´m from Brazil.
I have a Mac G5 2.0 dual with AGP ATI RADEON 9600 XT with 128MB DDR SDRAM and I want to know wath video card I need to buy for multi projection. It is possible to do that?
    I have three open full-length PCI-X slots: one 133MHz, 64-bit slot and two 100MHz, 64-bit slots.
What video card do you recommend with avarege cost?

    Thanks.

Unfortunately PCI-X slots are not supported for multi-projection. I'm not even sure it exists PCI-X video card with 3D acceleration.

Only PCI-Express machine will work for multi-projection. Another solution would be to use a Matrox DualHead or TrippleHead device. Of course it is not as flexible as the advanced multi-projection, but already allows you to connect up to three outputs with non PCI-Express machines.

    Yves.
