    Quicktime 7.2

    by Ganesh » Thu Jul 12, 2007 1:59 am

    Hello,
New update for Quicktime, 7.2 (A "major" one?) ... Of course, I am afraid to update with these last bad experiences with Modul8...

    Someone volunteer to try ??

    :)

i tried with multiprojection (my M8 interface on one card and 2 other screens on another card) and it's still broken but only with photo JPEG codec. I still have a white picture instead of my movies. Photo JPEG works only if you put on a pix effect, very strange, looks like a pb with the software... Boris, could you see that pb please?
Anyway, multiprojection works with H264 codec or animation +.
I am staying with 7.1.3, the only one that works with M8 for mutiprojection with several graphic cards...

    M8 2.5.4
    Mac Pro 2.66
    4 G RAM
    HD Raid 0
    3 graphic cards 7300 GT
    QT 7.1.3

We alsway use MJPG codec for Video Footage and i never got the WhiteFrame Problem.
Maybe somone could check this on the Mac Pro Multicard System.

    I am Using:

    Mac Pro
    QuickTime 7.2.0
    NVIDEA 7300 GT

how many graphic cards do you have in your Mac Pro? If it's only one, it's normal that you don't havec the pb. I have this problem with several cards on multiprojection (at least two outputs + my preview)
oh, and i was talking about Photo JPEG, not M Jpeg.

    hi bratch,
i thought it would be a good work around for someone who wants a similar compression like photo JPG for video to use MJPG A [one field].
the compression is near the same and you could use it also for QT7.2 and multible g.cards.
would be nice if you check this with your multible g.cards setup
    i cant right now.

ok, i'll try, but the fact is that i have a lot of photo jpeg files and convert them all to mjpeg, if it works, will make me loose much time.Plus, M8 has always been optimized for photojpeg and it doesn't work anymore on several cards, it seems like a bug...

    Hi,

A new version will be released next week.
And fix the problem with Qt 7.1.6 , 7.2 and multiprojection with several graphic cards.

Thanks to all for your understanding.
