Advanced-Output 800pix Limitation

If you specify a Clip-Frame in Advanced Output with 800pix wide and for example 600 high you can scale this output-frame with the mouse to exaktly this size. 800x600

But if you use more then 800 pix wide - for example 1024x600 the desktopframe gets scaled down to 800x468. 8(

We plan to use a LED-Wall with one DVI-IN which needs a 3 row tile splittet source.
So we cant go Fullscreen.
Basicly this should be no problem with M8 but the limit of ClipFrames give us new problem. If you use many ClipFrames you see the gaps by fast alpha moves.

Please M8-Team give us an option to break this limit.

Also after quit - all positions of clips and outputs are not saved 8(
So a set of multible rows of output-frames must me re-arranged.

The Import & Export Feature dont save the size and the position of outputs.

Your output resolution is define by your OUTPUT resolution (defined on you system) and not limited.
You need to use the FULLSCREEN mode (menu Output) and not move the windows.
The clip frame resolution is a relative size and not absolute and basically this is not your output resolution.
You need also the define the same ratio of your output in your clip, if not your output will be scaled, (this is sometime usefull like for 16/9 anamorphic)
I hope you understand a bit more.
You can found a good explications on the user manual start at the page 25

Hi Boris,

thanks for you fast reply - but i think we do not talk about the same thing.
to make it easier to understand i have made 3 screen shots::

This Screen shows what possible with Modul8 in a easy way:
http://www.bpitchcontrol.de/pfadfindere ... ul8/01.png

This Screen shows the Problem of Limitation:
http://www.bpitchcontrol.de/pfadfindere ... ul8/02.png

This Screen shows what i have to prepare for the LED-WAll

The LED Just exept one DVI-IN with 3 Rows. 1280x1200. [3x1280x400]
So the Fullscreen Mode is useless in this Situation.

And it would be glad - to save the position and size of a configuration like this.

Thanxs for any help,
Toby

Ok I understand. I missed the sentence "a split source without fullscreen mode"

The software was not designed for this kind of application.

I will change this for a future version. In the meantime I can make a special version without these limitations as well as provide the ability to save the positions of the windows.

Perfect !

This would help us a lot !
Also in other Setups and Situations.
Thanks for this genial Support.
I know no other Company which give a support like this.

Maybe its an idea to integrate this in the JPG-Fix update?
Otherwise let me know when we can expect this special Version.

This is a good Message for us.
Thanks a lot.

Advanced Output Rotation.

What we also miss is an Output Rotation in Advanced Output Setup.
Some LED Systems just except 90 degree rotatet Windows.

The Apple Monitor Rotation Settings didnt solve this problem.

So we Rotate just Content in The Layers - this works nice - but the Preview
is useless in this mode.

Maybe this is easy to do - maybe not.

Would be glad to have the open Window Size Feature first , )

Thanks,
