Hello all. I am looking at the Coda Nova VMX VJ controller to control M8. I would be interested in the views / reviews of any users of this controller. Configuration set ups, pros & cons etc. Tips on the real time use of it. It certainly looks the part, is it worth the asking price?.

Modul8 is the daddy of VJ software... Keep up the good work!!!

I use a vmxvj and without doubt its worth the money. You have plenty of options when pairing it with M8, instantly mappable by assigning a function and turning a knob etc no need for setting up midi channels. Save up n get one its ace.

I use 2 midi controllers TRIGGER FINGER & BEHRINGER BCR2000, but i was checkin the VMX also, i have a dilemma, should i get rid of the 2 Midis above and get the VMX VJ.

Any advice?
Thanx.

i used the VMX controller & i was not pleased at all. i don't like its size (ways too big) and especially its weight. despite its fancy surface the knobs, buttons and faders feel really cheap. i'm working with the behringer bcf2000 which is "ok", price/performance ratio is fine.

in my opinion the vmx controller is not worth the money.

i've been looking for a really good controller, handy & good quality, but i haven't found the right one yet... so i'm sticking with my behringer compromise.

Each to his/her own i suppose, i love my VMX/Modul8 set up, apart from a faulty usb cable its been pretty much perfect.

I thought the Behringer i had was nasty, it was the BCR not the BCF.
