Hello, I a am VJing for about a year(PC-Resolume) and have plan to by a macbook pro, but have some money limits.
For now it seems like:
CPU: 2.4GHz
HDD: 160Gb 5400rpm
RAM: 2Gb
Video: 128Mb
An there is possibility to upgrade 200Gb 7200rpm or RAM:4Gb, or videocard 256Mb.
Which component would more efficient to upgrade? I am not playing very complex, its about 2-3 layers & 2-3 effects at the same time...
(sorry for my english)

I would say the Graphics Card. For playback of movie files it is always recommended to use a fast external Hard Drive so getting the faster internal drive probably isn't the best option (ignoring te discussion about internal laptop drives and if more rpm always eqauls more speed).

I would agree that the graphics card would probably be the correct choice unless you're in the habit of using large source movies. In that case, the extra bandwidth you would get out of the HD would probably be the better choice.

you can't upgrade the vram on a mac.
so make sure your computer has enough when you buy it.

deffo Graphics card(256MB) and buy a fast external drive when you have some cash....

2GB of Ram will see you through and the 160GB drive is OK anyway....again all of this can be updated at some point if need be.
