scale ouput window

hey folks, have a little problem scaling the output window.
it seems to be that it has a limited size. is it possible to make it bigger ?
the background is: i have a 8 to 3 project and i want to test it on the second monitor plugged to my macbook pro. (which has a ratio of 4 by 3)
if i go fullscreen the output is destorted. so i tryed to drag the output window manualy.
works fine, but i cant enlage it to the full width.
with the preview window on my main screen it is not a problem ...
(which is not dragible to the second monitor)
any help out there. magic shortcut ???
