Serious request: Firewire output

Hello M8 guys!

Here´s somethimg I´ve been missing on M8 since I burned my mixer:
Output the video through the fiewwire port.

This way, we can chain and mix unlimited computers, one captureing the output of the other.
I know I can do it with a capture card or a camera, but firewire is the easier, most elegant amd obvious way.

Thanks in advance...

you can use some hardware
for example i use the advc110 canopus
but you must be rich to qet an unlimited chain

also another solution,
go to the blog modul8.us
and search for modul8 with skype

Modul8 can't have a firewire output. Tried to make on for ages (as I wanted to VJ with my mac mini), but I didn't succeed. Now I stopped looking for a solution, as I got a macbook pro.
Good luck.

yeah, but it isn't.
you would have to convert the output to dv codec, which is far from easy.
at the moment all the instant visual stuff is done by the GUI chip.
you cant even output to firewire in an edit program without rendering first.

use an analogue -> dv bridge if you want to chain outputs.
