    Simple Question!!!

    by DubFreeek » Tue Nov 25, 2008 7:03 pm

    Hi everyone!!

I know everyone will hate me for asking such an amateur question, I'm very new to this, but I'm learning A LOT and I spend hours daily in front of the software

Now back to the topic, yesterday while for first time I wanted to connect my MacBook Pro to the projector to see my first work on modul8 & how it would look on big screen I was hit with the reality that I dont know how to display only the "Main Out" on the projector without the whole desktop being displayed on the projector .. I tried to search the manual and the net and all what it says "enter the Full Screen Mode" but if I do then i wont have the panel in front of me to add/edit layers.

i know it sounds so amateur and rookie, but i thought here is the best place to ask the experts

    anyone can help??

It's probably because your display settings under System Preferences are set to "mirror displays"

If you have a second monitor connected:

Go to System Preferences > Displays

Look for the window with the "Arrangement" tab

Under that tab there will be a checkbox labeled "Mirror Displays", uncheck it.

Also note that you can drag the secondary monitor icon in that same window to position it to the left or right (or top/bottom) relative to your main screen. You will be able to move your mouse beyond the edge of the main monitor and into the 2nd display output.

At that point full screen output should work for you.

    So what did you do.
    Did you connect the projector?
    Did you open display preferences?
    Did you click detect displays?
Did you restarted with projector connected?
Did you had projector connected before you started M8?

Please post the main question on the topic line. Not just "simple question". It annoys a lot of us and your topic will not be read.

I would like to thank u for your reply and help, but I found out the problem was when I tried to apply what u said to me my projector was not connected, so I did connect it and working fine and perfect now, thanks once again.
