I'm new to Modul8 & the whole VJ thing.

I have a MBP and a projector. I can't seem to figure out how to have the modul8 workspace visable on my laptop screen and ONLY the final video mix output through the video project.

At this point it only shows whats on my screen. So either my workspace or if I hit command 'U' the screen fills with video (but I can't work/see the workspace).

Also, I'm not using an external midi controller. Is it possible to soley use the laptop & modul8 interface to control the video? Or do I have to get an external controller?

Creating low key animation & video to play behind a band. Longer clips. No BPM stuff.

be sure to turn off 'mirroring' in the displays prefs in your MBP.
also make sure you haven't turned on advanced output in modul8 by mistake.
