    MULTISCREEN SHOWS USING MODUL8

    by djrilla » Tue Jul 07, 2009 11:03 pm

    Hello

im wondering if it would be possible to use modul8 to do a multiscreen show using 5 projectors (ultra widescreen) side by side. using 2 macbook pro's, 1 with a triplehead2go and the other using dualhead2go. linking both modul8s using the network module i heard about...???

    would this be possible????

say a clip is 3200 x 480, crop that in 3/5ths for the triplehead2go machine and the other 2/5ths for the dualhead machine, and use network modul7 to trigger at the same time??

    thanks in advance

    :D

it is possible, but you will definitely have synchronisation problems. The network module itself shouldn't have any delay if the two computers are directly connected through ethernet. But then, when you will load your clips you might have some trouble… I think you will have to resync your clips as soon as they are loaded, this will need the use of a module, and I must say I'm not sure the network module will allow you to access modules on the other computer… (Using the same midi device on both computers might do the trick.)

    Good luck
