    Text Module Problem

    by Daniel G » Wed Jun 29, 2005 1:34 pm

    Hi Everyone!

I have searched the forums without luck, so I will try posting myself:

Im running Modul8 V2 and the text module wont accept any text input?

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!!

    -Daniel...

    Details:
The text module seems to work fin until i select the text field - It selects it, but the text cursor doesnt show up.
I have tried to remove all fonts from my Library/Fonts, leaving only preinstalled fonts.
When I switch user - To a "clean" account and runs Modul8 from there it works?! (This would be very annoying to use it this way though)

Hmmm... This is weird. If it works with other user accounts, it means that it has something to do with your local user configuration. What is the language of your user ? What version of the system ?

I was able to reproduce this problem by deactivating the Monaco font. This font is used by Modul8 and should not be disabled. Please verify that it is enabled in the "Font Book" application. Also if you are using another application to manage your fonts, check that it does not disable the Monaco font.

I know that Daniel rarely drops by the forum, so I have e-mailed him your reply - and on his behalf: Cheers! :D

    Hi Yves,

    Thanks a bunch!

I have now upgraded to Modul8 2.01 and i have reinstalled all my fonts... With Monaco enabled... And now it works!! That's really great...

I dont know if it was a font problem or the new Modul8 thing fixed the problem - But now it works and thats really great! Keep up the really really good work!

    Take care... Daniel
