sound and layer opacity should not be married

I know this may be a rather subjective measure to comment on. However I have discussed this with several of my collegues and it is pretty obvious that connnecting the sound level of a layer with it's opacity is a bit limiting not to mention redundant as there is already a volume control from each layer.
If there is going to be a v2.01 I would definitely have that changed.

In other news... I just saw a recent copy of DV Magazine and they featured an article on VJ'ing. Happily Modul8 was listed amongst the other offerings that included the usual suspects (Arkaos, Jitter etc).

    Great press!

This is actually good if you are running, say, several layers with narrative and want to mix those, keeping the narrative intact. Perhaps we could be given an option to "marry" sound with opacity or not?

    maybe yes maybe no ;)
It's to late for the 2.0.1 (it's released now) but we will add an option in a next release.
