    Hello

    i have a Short question.
Does M8 work with the Power of the CPU or does it work with the
    GPU on the Graphik Card?

I have Order à New mac pro Today with 2 Quad Core CPU?

As an Option there are a EvGA graphic Card from NVIDIA with 1GB
    VRAM.

    Hello vidsad,

As stated in the technical spec on our website:

The application is fully multithreaded to avoid latency between video decompression and GPU rendering. Multi-threading has been carefully balanced to obtain optimal performance on single processor machines and multi processor machines.

Modul8 relies heavily on the GPU.

As it is impossible to run anything on a computer without the CPU the above quote is accurate in that Modul8 makes the best of what your computer can do by using the best possible procedure for each type of process.

OpenCL brings into the operating system what Modul8 has been doing all along.

If you would like I can have David come in on this thread to provide highly accurate points about how Modul8 works.

Modul8 is using CPU and GPU together.
Some effects and movie decompression are GPU based.
But the GPU is very important, all the rendering and compositions are doing with openGL using the GPU since the version one.
That's why you need a 3d accelerated video card to run Modul8.
