New hardware controller for Modul8

Hey everyone! I'm new to Modul8 but have been using NUVJ for years now. My "style" of mixing is heavily focused on live video scratching and I'm looking for a new controller that can use that function of Modul8 well. The NUVJ controller is not very friendly for any other software besides NUVJ, and its christmas time and my father is now asking what I want...so i guess a hardware controller is on the list. I also have a trigger finger for triggering clips so I'm not needing anything except a good scratch wheel, anything else is just a bonus. Under $300 is the price range, here's what i've found so far--

Numark MixMeister Control - $199 - THis thing looks AWESOME but i can't find any VJ that's used it...

Behringer BCD2000 or BCD3000 - $149-199 - Haven't found VJs using this either, looks ok but previous behringer quality experiences have not been the best.

Hercules DJ Console MK2 - $199 - Again, any other VJs use this?

Numark Totalcontrol- $199 - Much like the NUVJ controller but have seen people have trouble with the jog wheel on other VJ software, not sure about how it would work with Modul8 though...

You could sell your trigger finger and get a second hand codanova:

there are many choices today (unlike the old dayz!) read reviews online, but most importantly - go to a place like Guitar Center, Sam Ash etc and TRY them out yourself as much as possible
