Modul8 is awe-inspiring, but before I buy I'm trying to get some questions answered, and since the GarageCube "Contact Us" page is inactive, I'm hoping to get some advice here.
I'm planning to chop up a video I've made into segments to use as media in Modul8. Output is the problem. I need output to projectors, and to small video monitors for the band members. I'm hoping to get by with just a VGA splitter and some VGA-composite video convertors, but if necessary I'll shell out for a Triplehead.
Question 1: First, if anyone could comment on how the Triplehead's output software interfaces with Modul8. This has not been described well as far as I've been able to make out.
Question 2: Any opinions on which Triplehead version is best for the Macbook Pro's mini-display port? There are 3 versions, Analog, Digital/DVI, and DP/Display Port. Right now I'm converting the miniport to VGA using the Apple dongle/convertor. So i think the Triplehead Analog version would be best. But, since I'm converting to VGA/analog, will the Triplehead Analog software "read" through the dongle/convertor, and be able to "see" the various outs from the Triplehead? Or should one stick with the Triplehead DP version? The problem there is that my projectors don't have DP inputs so I'd have to go through another conversion from all the Triplehead's Display Port outputs: DP to VGA for the projectors, and DP to composite for other monitors/splitters, etc.
Many thanks in advance---
