touch osc layout for ipad w/o osculator

this is my first try of an osc layout for the ipad which is working directly with the osc module and you dont need to use osculator. it has feedback, which is really cool, but not working always

it´s very basic, small and all on one page - sorry for that, ilan ;)

but it gives you an understand how the keyword system is working

most important thing at the moment is to know
0 = selected layer
-1 = all layer

the rest can be explored with the script output of m8

here is the download

have fun

I'm getting this mesage:
"failed to open layout. File might be corrupted or unreadable"

I was curious to see what you've done as I've been working on a similar thing although I ended up using both OSC and MIDI through osculator as I found the native OSC capabilities somewhat limited on their own.

the new version of OSC Editor doesn't support XML layouts. do you have an updated version of your layout?

I made the template with the last version of TouchOSC editor. Tri it with the last one (v.1.4.2)and will work for sure.

Hey. The touchOSC template is fantastic! Thanks for the work there guys. Really appreciated.

I'm a newbie, so I may have missed a step here, but once we've got the template in touchOSC, do we then need to manually assign add each control a unique ID in OSCulator and then manually assign it to the Modul8 control via MidiMap?

Seems like a hassle seeing as the Template knows what everything is.. but like I say. I may be missing something here.

OK. I just managed to get the OSC module hooked up.. so the Midi route isn't the issue any more. Everything linked up with nil manual assigning... bloody brilliant.

I'd still be curious if there is a Midi map for the touchOSC template floating around. But for now its looking good.

JazzT, Przm, if you have that Osculator layout mapped to MIDI, could you communicate it? I'm getting really nervous not succeeding doing that...
I fear the OSC module is not for now so stable as Osculator... when you can get it work... javascript:emoticon('')

Thanks!
