    Midi control of Module play/pause

    by morph » Mon Mar 21, 2011 12:34 pm

I was wondering if there are any plans to allow midi or keyboard control of the Play/Pause buttons in modules? Would be very handy for switching their functionality on and off from a controller, rather than messing about with a mouse.

. you should be able to assign a MIDI note or CC message to any of the UI elements in the modules.

You can bind Keyboard and MIDI to the buttons of the DC-PLAY STOP LAYER PANEL module.

Maybe I didn't phrase that correctly. I mean the 2 buttons in the top right of each module that switch it on and off (they look like pause/play buttons).Image

When you turn midi mapping on they are not selectable.

I mainly want to use this to switch BPM router(master) on and off during performance. While still leaving BPM (global) running for other functions.

Ah. So what you are needing is a method to turn off the functionality of the layer router.

This can be done by adding buttons to the module that shut off the functionality that the module is providing.

If you cannot hack the module yourself to do this I can check with our team to get this done.

This can be added to the master router as well.

Yes thats it :) Switching off the functionality of a module completely on a button.

I have zero knowledge of working with creating or modifying modules/coding. If you could add a button that does that to the BPM Router (master) & the Filter (Layer) module would be awesome!!!
