Midi control of Group A, Group B & Out

    by morph » Mon Mar 21, 2011 12:36 pm

Are there plans to allow midi or keyboard control of the Group A, Group B, Out buttons in the preview window, being able to switch these without messaing about with a mouse live would be much more preferable in a live performance context.

I seriously hope you will consider this and my request for module play/pause control in any upcoming update :)

Search through the module library and you will find this. It can even be crated using the module editor without writing even one line of code.

Thanks for the fast response ilan, I did look in both the garagecube and public libraries and the only think I could see was the (vv) live monitor and that only really switches from out to groupinv.

Could you give me a module name please mate.

Also I have zero experience with creating modules, so thats not really an option.

. just a fyi, you should check out some of the modules to see what underneath the hood... some are pretty complex (like OSC and the Filter module) but others are extremely straight forward and easy to understand.

. i think the true power in controlling modul8 comes from working on modules that will fit in w/your preferred workflow or project.

. plus, you can always get a help from the forums if you get stuck! :)

anomad is right... however I can cook up a little module that will allow you to do this. Just to make it 'universal' I will create a button for every one of the preview tabs. I have to wade through a bunch of other messages but I should have this for you by the end of the day.

you could always have two preview windows..

Not meaning to bitch, just reporting a small bug in the new Module. When you click (or midi select) OUTPUT button it sets to OUT MIX in the preview window, not OUT.

    Thanks again :)

OK just to be sure I'm doing this right, I stop the module, close it. Go to online library and grab DC preview switch again, click to re-install.... right?? or do I have to find and delete the file??

I've done it the first way and it still seems to have the same problem.

Thanks for the fast action mate :)
