    Contextual key/MIDI mapping for modules

    by Akira » Tue Sep 27, 2005 9:29 am

Since the ammount of modules I am using increases every time, I have found that I would need contextual MIDI/key mapping for modules, but it seems it doens't exist. I cannot assign the same key to two different module functions. Why is this? Is it possible to do it in a next version?

What I was trying to do is simple: hitting one keyboard key and activating two modul parameters at the same time.

This is because key/midi mapping is implemented in a "universal" way in Modul8. One key for one function. If you associate a key to a module control, you can't re-associate it to another one.

Is there any chance to have contextual key mappings like with MIDI?

Well, contextual key works but not in the module. This is something that should be integrated in the V3.0.
