Hi there.
I am trying to setup audio clips in Ableton that map to a video in M8. I've written a max for live device that detects a/ when the clip starts b/when the clip reaches the start of a new loop. So on these 2 events I can send a midi note. So far no probs.
So I map the note to a video clip in the media set. So every time my audio loops my video loops. Still all good so far.
The problem I am foreseeing is when I apply the same system to a 2nd track in Ableton. I'd like another video on a new layer be be started and looped. From what I can see in M8 (and I may be misunderstanding something here as I'm fairly new to M8) I have to select the layer first and then hit the media cell in the media set (or I've just realised whilst typing this I could map to the left scrub wheel in the play tab to retrigger from the start). Either way I can't see how I can retrigger multiple layer videos at the same time.
Any ideas?
