    annoying error sound

    by lamepantallas » Tue Sep 13, 2011 12:13 am

Hi, the other day while I was doing a live show with audio output I had a really bad experience with an error sound while I triggered layers from the keyboard.

Does anyone have insight on this, what causes is it and how it can be avoided without turning off the audio?

    Gracias!

Hi, it is a sound when an error occurs, I looked it up in: System > Library > Sounds > Funk.aiff

I get that sound when I trigger clips from keyboard (mapped) using the left arrow for example

    Thanks,

    g.

Why don't you turn alert sounds off. Since you do not care for the error.

I have the same issue. Its a moot point for me because I can just mute my sound since I do not use audio out BUT its annoying and I would also like to know why. A none hacky way (i.e. turning off alerts) would be preferable.

What do you mean by ”hacky way” . Turning off alert sounds on System Preferences>Sound for during live show is elementary and nothing to do with ”hacking”.

No, it is not, but the software should not be creating an error noise. Period. No matter what pre cautions you take. If an error sound is being created something is wrong.
