About the 2.5

We are receiving many questions regarding the 2.5. Just to resume a bit the current state of the project.
There is no release date at this time. But we target the end of the year.
The feature set is not 100% defined yet. However we can already say that it will feature at least:
- Improved rendering system for the logical record.
- Freeframe support
- New integrated filters (chromakey, several alpha filters, crop, etc.)
- An improved media window.
- A lot of new stuff in the module system (several new controls including a draw view that can send its content to the composition, layer contextual module, ...)
- Several new modules
- Antialiasing of the full composition (on graphic cards which support it).
- Multiprojection through network or on the same machine (requires multi-PCIE slots)

Concerning multiprojection, how will you manage the format.
I mean, if you use 3 output for example, you need to have a preview on modul8 in this format, like a 12/3 screen?
Will we be able to select a personnalized screen output from Modul8?

We are working on a very very flexible approach where you can cut your main composition into sub-rectangles of any size and at any position, each one being redirected to another output. It is perfect for creating huge continuous composition made of several projectors.

Is the version 2.5 a boxed version or a download?
Cristian

I asked a while ago and you mentioned that you'd support transfer modes (add, multiply, etc) in the next release. Is that still in the works?

transfer modes (add, multiply, etc) :
this would be FOR ME one of the most important 'news' as i'm still missing this a lot since it was 'lost' from version 1 to version 2
so PLEASE give us back the transfer modes

Sorry, but it won't be back until V3.0.

that is sad
i hope that in 2.5. there will be all features included that we have now in version 2 ?!?
or are there any features that will be disabled from 2 -> 2.5 like from 1 -> 2 ??
sometimes i still use version 1 to use the transfer modes
in an email in august you told me :
-> We can add it into the module system in a next minor release...
are there still plans to bring it back in the module system ????
please don't let us wait until 3
