    by the way... EBN, anybody?

just bought modul8, love it... wicked software, beautifully designed.

just thought some folks who visit here may remember a group from the 90s called Emergency Broadcast Network... we sort of pioneered "videosampling" and built a working, live-gigging prototype out of Max which ran on Quadra 950s with Raster-Ops video cards... but most of our stuff was "traditionally" non-linear edited...

anyway i finally got some stuff online on my personal website, if anybody's interested:

The EBN full length album produced by Dangers is still one of my favorite electronica CDs. It's nice to finally see some vids that weren't on that disc. Excellent work, given the technology back then! Kudos!

    Cheers,

i first found out about EBN from my friend stephen marshall, who co-founded channel zero and later guerrilla news network. EBN contributed quite a bit in inspiring the direction he took with his video productions. i find your stuff is very well done even by "today's" standards. hats off to you!

Mad props to EBN!! you guys rock!! glad i got to see a live performance in chapel hill once, was wicked!
didn't you guys also help invent After Effects over at CoSA or something? sorry I was talking yesterday to a friend Orna who used to work at CoSa, and she mentioned something about that and we talked about how killer EBN was. Crazy that today i see this post.. Anyway it's great to hear your tweakin in Modul8, i can't f*cking wait to get the 2.5 and try to scrap together a video cube with the new seamless multi projector fetaure..

    cheers,
    rumi
