Is there a module which allows one to have more than 5 clips per group?

You can have 10 layers if you don't need to cross fade. Otherwise you're limited to 5 layers per bus.

It also depend on if you need to layer more than 5 or 10 things a the time. There are various methods for switching media inside each layer but you can't layer more than 10 things, or 5 things with crossfader.
