duplicate clip with sound (make instance) ?

Hi!

I have quite a simple question i guess.

My setup is a triplehead panorama (3 projectors)

i need to show one video with sound on the 1st AND on the 3rd screen.

how can i manage this in modul8?

i thought i have to duplicate that clip and arrange it on the space of the first and on the space of the third screen
but the problem then is ... how can i start the two clips at the same time (so that the image and the audio is synchronized?
also i would need only the sound source of one clip.

is there a way to somehow make an instance of a clip .. like in resolume

or is there a module which can do that job?

guess there should be a solution as this seems to be a very common need.

i hope i described in a clear way.

thx for help

maybe it's not possible?

i thought its quite easy
and true ... with the matrix tool and planar space .. it works

. i thought of a few different ways to do what you were asking (using Syphon, rendering one large clip that spanned all the monitors), but i must honestly say - your solution is brilliant !! i never thought of using the matrix like that. :)

cool, thx;) .. the only problem with this solution is that the distance between the objects, which you can set by planar space, is very limited .. it probably fits my needs this time, but i wish i could extend that range

you might be able to extend this distance by making a very simple module with a slider that has a larger max value than the default slider on the matrix options
