Art-Net via USB-C lagging

I'm controlling my Modul8 through DMX over Art-Net on my new MacBook Pro which only has USB-C ports. I got a converter from USB-C to Network port, but when I change layer set (controlled from light desk) it also kick of some of my layers at 20-30% which is programmed to be at 0%. Where could the problem be? Is it the USB-C port or is it the DMX modul?
