werde mir wohl bald das modul8 zulegen.
wenn nun das modul8 2.0 herauskommt,
kann ich dann kostenfrei upgraden?
oderist das dann kostenpflichtig?

oder anderst gefragt:
wann wird den die 2.0 version erscheinen?
und ist diese auch zum studenten(bze arbeitslosentarif)
zu haben?

Ja, das upgrade der V2.0 ist kostenfrei; auch für die studenten (wir haben keinen arbeitslosentarif).

Well, basically you are right.... but you know, we don't give a special price to the students because they don't have money... but because we know thar one day they will make a lot of money, and it's always better to have such kind of people on your side.

business..
aber ein momentan arbeitsloser kann urplötzlich
wieder einen guten job haben und ne menge euronen machen.
davon abgesehen kann man als freischaffender unheimlich viel
gigs in kellern machen wo unheimlich viele studenten
immer einem auf powerbook schielen um zu sehen
mit welcher software der unheimlich coole typ
seine unglaublichen visuals macht....

Another time, I agree with you. Now you have to understand that it is very difficult to launch a software like Modul8 and being profitable for the first years (without speaking of the development of the initial version). Modul8 is a project where the only investors are the creators of the software, while it is good because we are free of deciding the development directions, it means also very tightened budgets.
We receive nearly every day emails from people asking for free versions or discounts for all kind of reasons (sponsoring, artists, no money, etc.) - most of them being valid reasons. Now economically it is simply impossible for us to accept all of them... So the student condition is just the most practical solution that we have to offer a discount yet. In the future, we plan to define a clear politic also for sponsoring, so we can offer every year X licences for some events or artists. So if you don't have money you will be able to submit a project and we may decide to sponsor it with a free licence (please note that this programme is not active now, so it does not make any sens to send us projects now).

Of course it is not fair (being fair for everybody would require to fix a price relative to the money you own, or simply give the software for free)- it is simply the only viable and practical solution that we have now to continue this project.

ich denke ihr leistet grossartiges.
sicherlich ist der preis für solch eine software angemessen.
ich werde auch wenn die demo-version mal zu haben ist
und ich zeit hatte sie ausgiebig zu testen,ganz bestimmtmir eine version kaufen.keine frage..
will aber erst mir sicher sein ob sie auch leistungsfähig ist.
aber die version1 hat mich schon überzeugt.
grundsätzlich habe ichg nichts am preis der application auszusetzen.
mir geht nur der vorzug der akademiker auf den sack.
sind das bessere menschen?

ein preis für alle.
