    NEW MODULES

    by boris » Tue Jun 14, 2005 5:21 am

    Hello,

I put 6 new modules into the GarageCUBE library.
Also I deleted all the old 'beta module' into the public library...

Let me know and enjoy it !

Looks great Boris! Wow what a surprise!
About the Transformer Presets, thanks for this in particular...
Would it be really hard to do a preset bay with about 8 presets that also does settings for Pixel FX, Animation FX and Transformations as well... all together?

It might also be nice to have a seperate module to "reset all settings" to a current layer so that one doesn't have to build this into other modules. Actually this should eventually go into the UI. Otherwise one has to delete a layer, make a new one, and assign the same footage, or reset each setting manually....

I like the random frame module too. Excellent. I'm curious as to why it only allows the effect on one layer at a time... I think its OK this way and was about to suggest allowing more than one layer, but I don't know... doesn't seem that necessary for this sort of effect...

Amazing! Looking forward to more!! :D
(More BPM stuff especially!! (hint hint))

    cool ;) great job!
For the text module, you can set on and off but if you have a media on your layer and you click on, the media is replaced with time and if you reclick on the button (off in this case) the time stops but you don't get your media back :x
(same with equalizer, we can't go back...)
RandomFrame is a nice one ;) much better than my crappy module :P thanks

We just posted a BMP module. Still a bit experimental. It is able to apply the BMP to the movie position/scale/rotation/patch displacement/patch noise.

    Let's the Module revolution begin.

Yes. You need the final release to get this module running. If you don't have it, send us an email to obtain the final release download link.

These new modules are great. I really like the random frame. Would it be possible to add a button that would trigger a random frame jump when you hit it with the random speed all the way down. I tried but am just not very good at coding.

The beta tests is finish, thanks to stop posts about this.
The final version was corrected a lot of problems, and the new modules is not working with the beta version.

Les beta tests sont terminé, merci de ne plus poster de message à ce sujet.
La version finale corrige de nombreux problèmes et les nouveau modules ne marchent pas avec les versions betas.
Et essaye d'utiliser le forum en français aussi.

hum... I don't know how you made the new bpm module but if you check and uncheck the rotation and zoom boxes the rotation or zoom value don't go back to default, and we're unable to change these values, I mean the rotation knob is to 0 and the layer stills rotated... we're forced to pause and play the module to go back to default values....

    excellent idea!!

Also thanks to Boris for the 8 Transform Preset Module. I may be wrong but I couldn't make a snapshot to bank 4 work. I could do 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 and never got around to 7 or 8. Please check this.

    Module revolution indeed! Very impressive!!

Thx Boris for the new modules :) Good stuff
Although I've got the same problem for the Snapshots. Snapshot 4 (and 1 on my machine) don't work.
And a request : Could you also add Autorotate saving to the snapshots ? I often use particules or matrix with an autorotate setting. Be great to be able to trigger the 2 from one button.
I've had a quick look at the code to see if I could change that myself. But I didn't feel confident enough (don't know much about python). Although I did manage do add an autoblur to the BMP module. But that wasn't too hard ;)
    Thx
