feedback problems with osc and max and lemur simultaneously

im currently creating a setup with a monome and a lemur to control modul8, with max in the middle. but i seem to be a little stuck with the bidirectional side of things.

max needs to recieve and send the osc messages to modul8, getting its information from the lemur.

max and the lemur can both send their messages to modul8 ok, and max can recieve messages back. but as soon as i get the lemur to recieve messages by having them passthrough from max, then things get problematic.

you see because modulate feeds its changes back after an osc value has changed, when i move a fader a bit, max processes the information, feeds it through to modulate, and then modulate sends the same value back out, into max, and it goes back to the lemur.

perhaps its a problem with the osc module itself in modul8, as i think the echo out the same value back with the osc protocol would create an endless loop.

Im just wondering what the protocal standard is with other programs using osc... when a value is recieved through the listener in osc, the change is fed through to the interface. however, this value shouldn't be fed back through the sender port, or you would get the kinds of issues im having.
