Multiprojection without G5 or matrox cards + scripting refer

Hi,

i have gotten the job to make a 5 screen installation (multiprojection) work with Modul8.

The drawback is that I do not have a G5 with multiple graphic cards, nor any matrox card. Instead, I got a Mac Book Pro and 4 Mini Macs, wired by a wifi setup. Each machine will address one video beamer.

The 5 screens to synch will not be close together, but in some distance to each other, which is why we opted for a networked synch setup instead.

I found the network module in the plugin directory, and I can control the second machine from the first one.

Yet i am desperately seeking any reference for the scripting used in the Modul8 extensions (modules). I know it is Python (which I know), but I don“t know which objects are there, how to adress them, etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you very much,
Frank Chendra

I no little about networks, but you could control all 5 via MIDI if you get nowhere with the other method

hello, there is no documentation, accept the doc pdf.
this is full of errors and uncompleted.
it is very sad, but this is everything we get from the modul8 team :-(

i would recomment you to have a look at the
OSC (GLOBAL) module.

with this module as a base, you should be able to synchonise
your machines.

if you have problems, feel free to ask the forum :-)

good luck !
