Ok I just come back from Barcelona :-) and I fixed the preset 4 problem.
You find a new version into the GarageCube library (version 1.1)

I put a new one 'RANDOM FRAME" (V1.1) with several layers assignations.
Also I put a new one transformer preset with a new more compact design.

I did a new compact random modul with trigger

I used the trigger made by Michl Schmid... on a simple random modul.

    3D Camera Control

    by momo_the_monster » Wed Jul 06, 2005 7:04 am

Master control of layers gives the illusion of 3D camera control. No way to control position in 3D space at the moment, so it's faked with a master scaling. Next step is a bank of presets, and a mode to smoothly transform between them.

That's not right, check this keywords :
    direct_layer_position_x, direct_layer_position_y, direct_layer_position_z
It is not the camera, but It is the 3d position of each layer.

    Thanks - I'll implement those.

I should have said "No way to control position in 3D Space that I know of" - thanks for the correction!

So i updated my version to use the direct_layer keywords, which worked much better than the ctrl_ keywords. Unfortunately, I realize now that my approach will not create the interface that I had hoped.

I wanted to build a module that would allow navigation akin to movement in a 3-D First Person Shooter - where I could use a joystick/gamepad to move around my 3-D composition. I believe this is fully possible with Modul8, but will take someone with much greater math skills than I to appropriately transform/distort the layers into a 3-D box. Is there anyone who wants to give this a go?

    Greetings Lego_Man,

I tried using your modified module but received a compile error as soon as it launches:

Compile error in "RANDOM FRAME + TRIGGER" (Listen) at line 8

    SyntaxError: invalid syntax
    if msg == 'frequency' :
    ^

I haven't tried my hand at coding yet so I have no idea if this will help you or not.

    Cheers,
    Justin
