Hello folks,
Here's an explanation of the modules functions. Sorry I haven't done this sooner. Hope it clears some things up.

(at) LAYER SEQUENCER 10x16 (v.2.0)
Overview:
Layer Sequencer provides a 10 layer x 16 step matrix for turning the layers on & off in time with the BPM (set by the BPM module). Simply selecting a step in the sequence will turn that layer on, at that point in the cycle.
New features in v.2.0
Patterns
There are now 16 patterns, to store sequences. 8 patterns for Layers 1-5, and 8 patterns for Layers 6-10. Selecting the pattern buttons will switch between patterns (note: Play Modes will affect how these buttons react).
Bar Length
The full cycle is 16 beats. The speed of the beats is affected by the speed ratio buttons (ie. 4/1, 2/1, ….. 1/16,1/32). The Bar Length value will reduce the number of beats in the cycle so you can now work in different time signatures, such as 3/4 time.
BPM Adjust
There is a rotary dial, and a numeric value which displays the current BPM being produced from the BPM (global) module. Any adjustments made in these controls will be picked up by the BPM (global) module. Unlike previous versions, this version of Layer Sequencer now takes all its timing from the BPM module. Note: requires the update of the BPM mod: "(at) BPM (global) v3.0)"
PLAY MODES
Follow Groups
The Follow Group mode links the group (layer-set) buttons on the main M8 screen to the patterns. If the Follow Group button is selected, changing between groups on the main window will switch to the corresponding pattern on the Layer Sequencer, and vica-versa. Follow Group mode will override Quantize mode.
Quantize
This mode allows the user to select a pattern to play from the beginning of the next cycle. (ie, if a sequence has a bar length of 7 beats, and the user selects pattern 6 on beat 3, when the cycle has played beat 7, the pattern will then change to pattern 6 and begin playing from beat 1). If a pattern has been selected to play, but is not yet active, its button will flash. Note: Quantize mode will override Follow Group mode.
EDIT FUNCTIONS
There is now an extended range of editing functions, these functions will only affect the currently selected pattern.
Layer Buttons
On the left hand side of the screen, there are numbered buttons indicating the layer numbers. If selected, the complete sequence for that layer will be turned on.
Clear A
Layers 1-5 will be turned off.
Clear B
Layers 6-10 will be turned off.
Clear All
Layers 1-10 will be turned off.
All On A
Layers 1-5 will be turned on.
All On B
Layers 1-5 will be turned on.
Copy A to B
The sequence for Layers 1-5 will be copied to layers 6-10.
Copy B to A
The sequence for Layers 6-10 will be copied to layers 1-5.
Copy A+B
The complete sequence (Layers 1-10) is copied to an internal clipboard.
Paste
The contents of the clipboard will be pasted into Layers 1-10
SAVING
This version of Layer Sequencer now implements full file saving capabilities. All patterns will be saved into your project file, along with the current state of the sequencer, ie play modes, selected Patterns, Speed Ratio and Bar Length.
