    (LT) Media Panel v1.2.2

    by lotech » Tue Jan 18, 2011 12:26 pm

Here is another module I've thrown together - this time allowing more clips to be displayed and clicked.
    Updated to v1.2.2

    Features:

    Lots of Thumbs
Just like the other VJ apps - now you can see more clips and access them quicker. the first 48 clips loaded (Media Sets 1,2 & 3). If you're using a triggerfinger or other midi control - set the clips as midi keys.
The module allows for easy switching between media sets 1-3 & 4-6 & 7-8.

Quick Access to 'Special' Media types
Assignable shortcut keys to Camera/Input 1, Text, Canvas & Test Card.

    Label Your Media Sets
Each media set can be labeled - these labels are stored in Modul8 and come back when you reopen.

    Module Size
Designed to sit on top of you normal media set panel, the module takes up all the vertical space on a 15" MBP (1440x900) screen. Check the screen shot below see placement. If you leave access to the normal media panel you can still drag and drop clips.

Updated to 1.1 - media sets 4, 5 & 6 can be shown instead. Tell me if you find any bugs.

How does that work? Should I compress it in upload to my server or put in the public library? What is the etiquette? This Module and my (LT) live monitor v4 are just reworkings or lotechs reworked Modules. They are smaller to fit into my 13in MacBook Pro screen.

Stick it online - it's all about sharing modules is my thinking on it.
Yours is useful in other ways (1280x800 screens particularly).

Uploaded as "(Kg) Media Panel 13in BETA"

I spent several hours last night making many of my favorites fit my small screen. I rocked Modul8 for years on an original MacBook. Now that I have a new MacBook Pro the program rocks. Sure my Mac Pro is awesome but it is a beast to transport. Now that I actually have some portable power my new Module editing skills will come in handy.

Speaking of sharing I have often wondered what hidden gems are in the wild in terms of Modules we have never seen. Just with the few hours it took me to edit some of my favs I bet the heavy hitters that make a living with Modul8 have some real sweet Modules we may never see.

    Nice one indeed :-))
Years ago I tried to make an extra large 8 x 8 module for quick and dirty video workshops, pretty much the opposite of yours for use with a trigger pad and specifically designed to make the laptop screen look simple(r) than it really is for beginners.
My old guy python chops were/are rubbish but I might give it another go, thanks, inspired.
