I bought M8 about a week ago but i've been playing with python for years.

My first stab at a simple module is in the public library.

Simply draws a circle of circles then you just need to use auto rotate on the layer.

(I Guess I should make it do that automatically )

Very cool module! I agree with you that adding an auto-rotation control would be a good idea. It would also be cool if the circles automatically spaced themselves out evenly along the path.

Of course theres already auto rotation builtin to the main control for a layer. But a 1 click option is always good.
