BPM sequencer question

Greetings,

VJ Jess (or anyone else who has messed with it)... don't know if this is a bug or simply my not understanding how to work this:

when using the BYPASS buttons, once engaged, they don't seem to turn off.

The only way to get the BYPASS buttons to turn off is to restart M8. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Justin

Yep I know this feature is not really clear.
The bypass button just means that for that step of the sequence it will stay playing the previously triggered clip.
Lets take a simple sequence of 4 steps (the sequencer as 8 but just for the example) as an example :
Each letter represents a different clip :

step1 : A
step2 : B
step3 : C
step4 : D

This will play clip A then B then C then D for the same amount of time (depending on the BPM)

If we change step4 to bybass :

step1 : A
step2 : B
step3 : C
step4 : BYPASS

It will play clip A then B then C, and stay on C for another step. Which means than clip C will stay playing twice as long as clip A and B.

This is different from this sequence :

step1 : A
step2 : B
step3 : C
step4 : C

This sequence will play clip A then B then C, and then retrigger clip C from the start.

Conclusion : You don't switch off Bypass. You just tell the sequencer wich clip to play instead of bypassing, by selecting a clip in the grid of the sequencer for that step.

I hope its clear
