hi forum,,

i'm searching for a filter or a plugin for modul8 with whom i can get these or similiar effects. no chance by searching in the public filter libary (or have i overlooked them?)
if theres a plugin which costs money – no problem. i just got the plugs for after effects, but i want to get the possiblity to play with such styles/effects via controller in m8.

do you have any ideas in this case?

cheers,,

You'd be best installing the module (at) Filter (layer) v1.6.1 and then install some Freeframe 1.0 plugins in the plugins folder of Modul8. I can't remember if theres a TV glitch effect exactly but I'm sure theres something useful.

hey,,

thanks for your reallvy fast requestion.
i know the filters in the public libary, but there isn't ain't one, which i can use... i also searched for the free frame plugins,
but all of them don't come into question, too. there are just the delaystrips plugin interesting for me, but they aren't available for osx.

hi filley,

i think the twitch effect from video copilot is a combination of fx and scripting. It uses the speed of a
second layer to drive the blur or the faked chromatic aberration .

So to achieve this fx you would need a module and a combination of filter.

Just like Andrew Kramer did.

And is there a module that let´s one layer follow the motion of a second one ?

I have installed the freeframe Filter but there is not twitch filter.

I found these filter Set:

Maybe there is something you like ....

http://vjfx.com/main/en/mmshowcase/mmshopfreeframepacks

But i think to achieve the effect you need a combination of effects.

And i don´t know if i´m wrong , but there is no layer motion blur in MD8?
At least i havn´t found it. I can apply the trace effect, but this is a Master effect.

I hope i could help.

. i did a write up of the fx that work in modul8 a while back - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4582

. also, i think Thomas is allowing you make custom packs of effects that you want...

. (now if i could only get him a mac so he can make his kinect FF plugin work in OSX! :) )

So I found this site/app (http://www.uglitch.com) that was built using openframeworks that glitches either a live camera or a clip imported. The files for it are on github too (https://github.com/martial/CorruptVIdeo) so I'm thinking that it'll be possible to recompile the Corrupt Video openframeworks code but include ofxsyphon before compiling. Don't really know how to do that in xcode yet but I think it could work, then build a quartz file that imports the syphon feed from uglitch and be able to have a live camera in the room being glitched.

shooting from the hip on this one but if anyone trys it out let me know and versa vice.

Hi orion,

years ago we had to cut the video tape fiscally and disconnect the TBC to get such effects! :D

i think he moved everything to http://euphoriafx.com/index.php/mm-shop but I don't see the chromakey freeframe plugin. if you're trying to live chroma key check out http://www.zachpoff.com/software/chroma-key-live/

Wow,

the live key looks very good!

excellent.

didn´t know this chromakey.

have you heard of this one?
http://www.frischluft.com/lensfeed

if you work with after effects for compositing reasons than this one is very good, but expensive.
You can see the live key in your composition.
It´s good to see that the composition works.

But for realtime access i use MD8 for live keying and this chromakey will be tested on the next set.

thanks a lot for that info!
