HELP How to switch layer set automatically?

I am looking for a way to automatically switch a layer set controlled by time value.
p.e. automatically go to next layerset after 180 sec.
Background is, that I want to create a 1hr video show that does not require any manual inputs.
I was browsing the modul library but there seems to be no modul for this around.
Does anybody have a coding help or a workaround for this problem?
