Hi there to all modul8 crew!

Firstly I just want to congratulate you on this awesome piece of software!!
Endless hours of fun just playing with it.

Sofar I've only had the chance to play with the demo, but now I'm thinking of making the investment and buying it. But before I do that I'd be interested to know if and when you'll be supporting free frame effects? And if I buy now will I have to pay for the upgrade that supports these plugins?

Keep it going guys, you're on to something here!

The V3.0 will be a pay update. The V2.5 which will be released before will be free. Freeframe support may be integrated for the V2.5, but it is not 100% sure at this time.

I'm with Akira on Freeframe. But I suppose the requests to accomodate it have been pretty heavy if Yves and crew have decided to take it on. Some will say, if you don't like it don't use it, whats the problem?,but with garagecube's small crew, it means that development on other stuff will be put off or take that much longer to happen.... oh well...

Hmmm...

Now it is 100% sure that Freeframe will be supported in 2.5. We are finishing the integration these days. I know that not everybody is interested in them, but at least it will open the pixel level of Modul8 for C programmers. It is also useful for us: we can release quickly small useful filters like Chroma without having to modify the current version and the UI. Freeframes requires less changes in the engine than CoreImage, that's why I finally decided to integrate them before. CoreImage+FreeFrame is for the V3.0.

Yves.
