do you know if uDMX by anyma will work with madmapper?
its not artnet but its a good controller.

I don't think so.
Art-Net is standardized so any art-net device will do. Through usb, it depends on the chip and madmapper uses FTDI to send DMX. I don't know if other adapters than the ENTTEC would work but I know that the uDMX is not based on the same technology…
